Eagle watching

This afternoon, we went eagle watching on the river. When we entered the visitor center, there was a REAL eagle!! But its eyes was hurt.
Then, we went to America River Museum. (I forget the name.= =)

There were some special fish called Jurrasic Fish.
The girls wanted to build a eagle nest. I thought it was ridiculous. There were many kids today.

Then we took elevator to see "locks and dam".
The river was frozen so some birds could walked on it. There were a lot of birds flying in the sky. However, it was hard to see the eagles.
The sky was blue without clouds. Aimee said that snow would melt in such warm weather.
Here is dirty snow everywhere! Hope them could melt soon.
This is a part of lock and dam. The level of water became lower and lower.
Therefore, the boat could exit.
Then, the level of water became as high as it have been before.

I have learned the principle of "lock and dam" in Goegraphy class. That was about Panama Canal in south America.

Back to the museum, we saw the movie about American Bald Eagle in the theater. It spoke slowly so I could understand it without sleeping.
The eagles are beautiful when they are flying. I like their feather! They are the symbol of America so the image of the eagle is put on the coins.

After visiting, we had KFC for lunch.
I have never seen there are buffet in KFC! But I prefer the chicken in Taiwan.
When we left, I found most of the customers there were fat.... I was shocked and found that I eat too much these days...
But I still like KFC, hahaha

Stephanie, Rachel and I went shopping in the evening. I bought nothing because I have bought what I want haha. But I forgot the gift for my friends.... I think I could go shopping again.
Stephaine saw some cute guys in the mall. When we had ColdStone after dinner, they were talking about them. I told them I don't talk about boys very much, but like dreaming. Stephanie told Rachel I have a dream boyfriend. I was surprised that Rachel know my boyfriend!!!
Rachel said she likes Mizushima Hiro. She showed me the picture below. He is the left one.
http://srv0110-06.oak1.imeem.com/g/p/cd6cc372c28b02d5f071681d8d194fab_web.jpg
When we were talking about Asian guys, suddenly, Stephanie showed us a Amercian man and said she like him. I laughed and laughed and laughed!!!!!
Both Rachel and I love Japanese dramas!!

Finally we went bowling!!!
It was very interesting. There were some kids. They are so cute when they were bowling.
I wrote Stephanie's and Rachel's name in Chinese and told them the meaning of the words. It was interesting!

I love this day, It was so funny!

1/30 New in Town

Today is Teacher Day. Some students dressed like the teachers in Villa.
But I borrowed Villa's uniform from Stephanie. I was a Villa girl today!
Stephanie is too tall! So her uniform is too huge.= =

I didn't got up early but I still wanted to sleep in British Lit.
Their British Lit is like our Chinese class. However, I think Chinese is harder to learn. We always meet many words we haven't seen, and we have to remember them. We also need to correct wrong words in our tests and exams. In addition, reading classical Chinese is complicated.

We went to library after British Lit. I slept then, hahaha....

After studying, we had US History. I didn't understand it. Fortunately, the teacher prepared some handouts for us, so I can use dictionary to help me understand it.
In SHGSH, most of the teachers are used to preparing handouts. (and a lot of test paper)
The history class was as serious as Taiwan's. Still, American students ask questions, we don't.
I saw a poster really meaningful in not only Villa but also Oak hill.
"Even Einstein asked QUESTIONS."
I think we need one....

Then, I went to Social Justice with Stephanie. But I should be in art class then. haha
We found the mistake after lunch. I lost a art class again.
In second art class, I made a board. What I want to write is also a secret.

When we got home, we had some corn chips. I ate a lot!!!
Then Stephanie had math class, Craig, Aimee and I went to see the movie -- New in Town.
It's a comedy. Taiwan will play this movie in April. I have already seen it! WOW
Before the movie, I had some Sushi! I love Japanese food! It's delicous!

I like to see the movies! Next movie we are going to see is "Hotel for Dogs"!

Mizzou!

We had MathStrong again yesterday morning.
It was Hawaii day, but I couldn't join it becuse all of the exchange students needed to visit Mizzou, University of Missouri.

It took two hours to Mizzou by bus. I had thought that the bus would be as uncomfortable as the one I have taken to see St. Joan, but I was wrong, the bus was better!
BTW, Taiwan's school buses are the most comfortable!
I have taken school bus to school every morning since I was in seventh grade. I can fall asleep very quickly as I get in the bus.
And, it becomes my bad habit -- I want to sleep when I get in bus/car. (It's also some Taiwanese habit.)

Though the bus was more comfortable, Ms. Moore told us that we could bring a pillow if we want. So, Jessie brought a big pillow!! It surprised us.
After fetching some boys from Priory, we left for Mizzou.
I seldom contact with boys because I study in girl school, so I didn’t talk too much then, just slept.
The weather was cold. I don’t like to go out, though the campus is scenic.
We had some pizza in the restaurant which is in the Mizzou for lunch. The pizza was the most delicious I have ever eaten!

During the lunch, we talked in Chinese all the time. Erin wanted to join us so she spoke Chinese like us. It was really funny and surprised us.

After lunch, we visited their gym. There was very awesome!!! I couldn't take a lot of picture so I forgot how to explain it. It didn't look like a university. I wish SHGSH could have a gym at least like Obayshi's.
It is very terrible to have PE class in winter and summer, especially our campus is on the hillside. If I am rich someday, I would help school build one!
The gym must have volleyball court cause SH girls like volley ball very much!
We don't need swimming pool because most of students don't like swimmimg. haha
And next step is to build a church. (I want Gothic!)

Ok, stop dreaming.

This building attracted me very much. There are a lot of Mac!!!!!!! And the design of the building was pretty modern. The labs there are cool, too.

After visiting, we had some ice cream in their conference room.
The ice cream is made by Mizzou so the color was yellow and black. It's interesting!
There was tiger everywhere! Tiger symbolize Mizzou!

Then, we spent half an hour in Mizzou's bookstore. It was very big, selling a lot of things.
We found something familiar.....
Comic books!! I have seen some of them in Taiwan! (but not read)
The comic books in English are very funny.

Finally, we went to Ronzio's for dinner. It's Liz's house. She is the senior in Villa.
The house is very big and beautiful.
The basement has a lot of things to play like table tennis, nine ball, football↑ and so on.
She's Judy's sister Meghan. She won the candy. My host mother, Aimee, won the other, too.

It was a long day! But I love it!
Thanks Ronzios! Liz is very nice. =)

Their house was very beautiful at night.

It took a while to home.
When we got home, we had King Cake!!

Stephaine's aunt Patti sent us a King Cake from New Orleans. Stephaine told me about the tradition of Mardi Gras. (紐澳良狂歡節)
There is a plastic baby in the cake. We need to find it, someday. (I don't like sweet.= =)

When we finished practicing piano, we saw Souja Boy and Macerana. Macerana dance is really funny. Stephanie also taught me how to dance Macerana!

Shake~~~~~ Macerana!

Salsa!!!!!!!!!!

The cup Stephanie put last night is almost full.

School is cancel again, today. But I think it's warmer.
They seldom do it, I'm Lucky!

We went to a Mexican Restaurant for lunch. It's called "Casa Guiarda".I love the corn chips with SALSA sauce!
The most special is "Guacamole", the mexican appetizer. I don't like it.
This is real mexican reataurant, so I think I need to get used to it.

After lunch, Stephanie had eye check. Craig and I went to his office in downtown.
It's took a long time to get there. The sunshine was so bright that I could not open my eyes. (because of snow)
Craig works in St. Louis Community College. His office is full of technology!!!
Those offices are so coooooooooool!
I wish I could work in the place like there someday.

Then we went to a store full of instrumetns like guitar, bass, drum...and APPLE!!!!
I was attracted by Mac and MacbookPro.hahaha
I tried to find some sheet music for my friends. They are a band. They often have trouble in finding music. However, I don't realize music very much, I can't choose for them.
The instruments in the store would drive them crazy.
I took some ad. of different bands' concerts when we left. They are cool!

When we got home, Aimee and I left for Butterfly House soon.

The park outside is beautiful!

There are a lot of butterflies! But it's humid and hot. I feft as if I were in Taiwan.
There are not only butterflies but also a lot of inscets and animals, like spiders, cockroaches, scorpions and so on.
There is not as pretty as their name, but it's full of fun!

On the way home, I had Bubble Tea. And we went to supermartket to buy some Salsa sauce and chips. I like Doritos Spicy and Sweet chips with Salsa sauce!!!!
When we got home, I started to watch Japanese dramas which my favorite actor acted.
I have seen it last summer. I miss him so much so I want to watch it again. hahahaha

Oh my gosh! I became Otaku these days....

Happy Snow Day!

I got up at 12:30. Good Afternoon!!!!

Then, we saw "Monster-in-Law"!
It's a good comedy. Kevin is a doctor and Charlie is a temp. They fall in love and want to marry. But Viola, Kevin's mom, didn't want them to marry. She tried to make them break up. The plan she made are really funny, so did Charlie made.

School is cancel today, maybe tomorrow will be cancel, too. (I hope haha)
The car has covered a snow!!Stephanie put a cup ouside in order to know how much it snow. I haven't know that snow is shining!! It's make me surprised!

I saw my math final exam grade is 10!
It make me confused.
And the average score is 73.
It really shock me!!
I got good grade on every exams! Why I get such terrible score???????

Due to the problem, I called back to Taiwan.
Hope the problem can be solved.
If I did get 73, I think my math teacher hates me very much. (Umm...., so do I.)

Catholic School Week

We got up very early today because Stephanie had MathStrong.MathStrong is for fourth grade girls who don't like math. Stephanie helps them do math and love it. This program is great, but we need to get up earlier in such cold day!
Their classroom is very big. And the view is good. My elemantary school's classrooms are smaller and darker than Oak Hill. Oak Hill is like my kindergarten -- warm and bright!

This week is called "Catholic School Week". Students don't need to wear uniform!! Stephanie, Rachel and I wear the same kind of sweater.
And we became....

haha, our faces disappeared.

The most attractive girls were.....

Erica and Kate!!!
They were twins today! I like their feather!

And, today was my first day in Sculpting class. I didn't go to the class because I went bowling last week. But I catched up everyone quickly.
What I made today is a secret, but I can tell you I made a cat which I will put my earrings in. My earrings always get lost.= =

I like the luch today, especially pasta!!
I did two things by myself : open Stephanie's locker and bring my lunch to the library (without getting lost).

In the afternoon, we had British Lit. The class is difficult.
The classrooms here are hard to sleep.
In Taiwan, the classrooms are big, so someone sleep during the class and teachers might not notice. Because there are so many people who can cover you!
I do, seldom.
Though I am tired during the class here, I must not sleep.
The small classrooms help students concentrate. The big classrooms help students sleep soundly.

Swim meet was held in Villa today. Because our pool is small and no diving board, it ended more quickly. Stepahanie was sick so she didn't do her best. =(

Then, we went to a store full of strange and shining things.
We bought something for our decoration tomorrow. They are cute!
I like the store full of funny things. Hope we have one in Taiwan. I always want someting strange and new, haha.

I like the fish for dinner very much!!!
My mom sometimes cooks fish like this.

Hey! It's 11 o'clock.
We had a good news!
The school is cancel tomorrow!!! hahahahahaha

Poor Eudora. She need to go to school tomorrow though she is in Massachusetts.
Because she studys in a bording school. It doesn't matter whether it snow or not.

I love snow, but hate cold.
